Protect Your Work

Rapids Reproductions has a variety of ways we can assist in protecting your artwork. Pictured above is custom cut acrylic to fit over a wall mural at Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School. We also offer lamination up to 60” wide and liquid lamination.

Why would someone want to protect their work? For wall murals or environmental graphics, the number one reason to protect your work is to prevent damage from graffiti. Lamination can also prevent fading caused by UV light rays, protection from liquids and humidity, damage from tearing and allow dry erase capabilities with the appropriate lamination type.

If you are interested in learning more on how we can help protect and preserve your work reach out and speak with one of our associates at one of our six locations located in Cedar Rapids, Cedar Falls, Clive, Dubuque, Davenport, and Iowa City.

Project A.W.A.R.E

2023 Iowa Project A.W.A.R.E.

Owen Soenen, our summer 3D printing intern, spent part of his summer helping the environment. From July 9th- 14th Owen and a group of volunteers paddled the Iowa river in their canoes pulling out everything from tires to shopping carts. When asked what was the most interesting thing he found, he laughed and said “That is a hard one but probably a headless American doll.”

In five days, the group was able to make a big impact. Owen said they probably pulled around 40 tons of debris from the water. Not only does Project A.W.A.R.E. pull the trash from the river they also sort it and try to recycle as much as possible to keep what they can out of the landfill.
