Visual Communication
In the dynamic world of visual communication, cut vinyl graphics have stood the test of time, dating back to the 1960’s. Their applications are as diverse as they are versatile, ranging from sign lettering, building identification, way-finding, wall graphics, and much more. The process of producing cut vinyl graphics involves intricate steps such as precision cutting on a plotter, meticulous weeding to remove unwanted sections, and the application of transfer tape in preparation for installation. While the end result may appear deceptively simple, the process is a nuanced blend of art and expertise.
We had the opportunity to collaborate with Coe College, enhancing their Office of Admissions wall with pristine white cut vinyl. Despite its subtlety, this small change made a significant impact. Additionally, we partnered with Bruce Builders to create striking white cut vinyl graphics for the new North Scott Softball Complex. When opposing teams arrive, there’s no doubt about whose territory they’ve entered. Marion High School called on us to help highlight their state championship trophies. White Cut Vinyl applied direct to the trophy cases grabs the attention of any passerby. Gone are the days of searching the trophy case, the state championships are now impossible to miss.

I am married to Kevin, and we have a daughter, son-in-law and 3 beautiful granddaughters. They live in Colorado so we take vacations there to see them several times a year. We enjoy our motorcycle during the warm months and have taken many short trips around our great state and some of our neighboring states. We enjoy doing mission work with our Church and I look forward to doing more of those in retirement which is fast approaching.

I would like to do volunteer work locally here also as there are always people to help. I love the outdoors, enjoy feeding the birds, doing light gardening and yard work and of course relaxing together or with friends with whom we play cards most weekends.
Working here was my first full time job just months after graduating high school. Back then when you were looking for a new job you went to Job service of Iowa. I was working then but I told them I was looking for regular M-F work, 8-5 office work so I would match my soon to be husband’s working hours. They sent me right up the street to a company called Rapids Reproductions where I had an interview that same afternoon and, well, the rest is history. Looking back, I must have liked it well enough to call it a career as that’s how it turned out. Rapids has always provided me a stable, steady work environment with good benefits. I have learned so much about this industry, getting to know and work with so many others here and our great customers who have taught me so much. I have been here to watch this company change dramatically and I am thankful that we have had always had a management team in place that looks forward to continue to grow this company for the future.
